edit: lmao what the fuck why did my phone translate this to italian? I’m leaving it up.
Every time I walk past this thing I think it’s silly. It must be just for show, right? If they’re busy, there’s no way they’d queue up to use the sauce faucet instead of just having a bowl and a ladle.

Amazing that they charge so little for it and apparently have precision devices to ensure ingredient amounts, and yet they choose to make the sauce nice and thick on there! I personally like my pizza nice and saucey! I’d be curious to see how they cheese it too.

I ask reddit, what makes a pizza: the sauce or the dough.

OMG, it works exactly like a record turntable.
I want one.

I’m having trouble with how much I hate this thing I’ve only just discovered

Isn’t it quicker to do it with a ladle?

Is it completely automated from beginning to end? How do toppings get on?

I love their dough. Then again I also think Chuck E. Cheese pizza is a lot better than it used to be.

Ah, ecco perché c’è così tanta dannata salsa

I worked a place that added one of these right before I left, but I dealt with it for a few months.
Honestly, for anyone who’d been saucing a while this wasn’t a time save, it was just faster for the new hires, and one more thing to clean at the end of the night (and it was like a 15 minute process to sanitize it). Oh, and heaven help you and the mess you just made if you selected the wrong size sauce option for the dough you had on there.
If your place has high turnover or you are absolutely nuts about exacting sauce amounts, sure, it’s useful, but not any faster for experienced employees.

Nice and saucy, just how I like it. Never understood why some places spread the sauce so thin. It’s pizza, not cheesy bread, add more sauce!

I’ve seen stoned teens sauce pizzas in half the time

Way too much sauce

Is there a light-sauce button?

Watches 1000 times, it unlocked the part of my brain. Our Costco used to have the glass in the front where you’d watch the pizza is being made. I remember having that little pokey device, but it was handheld back then.

They really are the most uniform pizzas in the world.

Troppa salsa per i miei gusti, personalmente.

I wish more pizza places used that much sauce
